How You Can Help
The Squirrel Hill Community Food Pantry relies on an army of committed volunteers and generous individual, group, foundation and business donors to do our work. We cannot do it without you.
If you want to make a difference in the lives of individuals and families that are struggling—the low-wage working parents who are forced to choose between food and other essentials like rent and medical care, the frail elderly woman whose Social Security check just doesn’t cover her expenses, the single mother who skips meals so her children have more to eat—you can do that here at the Squirrel Hill Community Food Pantry.
There are so many ways you can help. It doesn’t matter if you have a lot of time or a little time. A lot of money or a little money. Whether you’re a young child or a spry older adult. Whether you are an individual or a company looking for a charitable partnership. We need you.
By donating time, money or food, you can help us in our effort to end the desperation too many individuals and families in our community face.
Donate
Every day, hundreds of individuals and families in our community struggle to meet their basic nutritional needs. You can make a difference right now. Your gift can bring immediate relief and hope to a family or individual who is suffering from hunger. The Squirrel Hill Community Food Pantry has many giving options to meet the interests of our community of supporters.

Run a Food or Fundraising Drive
Hosting a food or fundraising drive is easy. Just pick a date and call us. Your drive can be big (a school-wide or synagogue-wide drive) or small (a food or SHCFP donation in lieu of birthday gifts, or a classroom drive). We are grateful for any and all donations of cash and kosher food and personal care items.
